2025 USPS Promotions and Incentives

The 5 primary promotions are:

1. Tactile, Sensory, and Interactive Mailpiece Engagement – 4% discount

  • Promotion period February 1, 2025 – July 31, 2025
  • Discount is on outgoing postage
  • Promotion encourages mailers to drive customer engagement using advanced print innovations and multi-sensory experience in paper and stock, substrates, inks, interactive elements, and finishing techniques
  • Marketing Mail and First-Class Letters & Flats
  • Change in 2025 is that gloss paper stock alone will NOT qualify for this promotion as it has in the past
  • Varnish and Spot Gloss/Spot Varnish/Spot UV are understood to be acceptable in 2025
Virtual Reality

2. Integrated Technology – 3% discount

  • Available during a six-month consecutive period of your choice CY 2025
  • Discount is on outgoing postage
  • Encourages mailers to incorporate mobile and other technologies into their mail pieces
  • Marketing Mail and First-Class Letters & Flats
  • QR Code/Mobile Shopping requirements may change, USPS is discussing adjustments, and the new rules will be published in the Promotion Guidebook
  • Rebranding of the Emerging Technology promotion – Augmented, Mixed or Virtual Reality, NFC, Video in Print, Voice Assistant

3. Reply Mail IMbA (3% discount for static IMbA, 6% discount for sterilized IMbA) 

  • Available July 1 – December 31, 2025
  • Discount is on return mail pieces postage
  • First-Class QBRM & High Volume QBRM to qualify
  • Not eligible to use with the new Add-on Promotions

4. First-Class Mail Advertising – 3% discount

  • Promotion period September 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025
  • Strictly for first class mail – letters and flats
  • 3% discount when promoting other offerings within their First-Class mailings – (encourages mailers to add marketing content to transactional documents)
  • Discount is on outgoing postage

5. Continuous Contact – 3% discount

  • Available April 1 – December 31, 2025
  • 3% discount following the first mailing to an address. Subsequent mailing to the same address must be iterative or complementary, not duplicative during the promotion period.
  • Marketing mail only

USPS Add On/Upgrade Promotions

The postal service is also offering add on/upgrade promotions available with the primary promotions above except Reply Mail IMbA. With the add on/upgrade promotions, you get an extra, stackable, 1 percent discount per add-on. (For example, a mailer participating in the Tactile, Sensory & Interactive promotion would get 4%, plus 1% for Informed Delivery and 1% for Sustainability, totaling 6%. Once that promotion runs out, they could combine those add-ons with Integrated Technology (3%) for 5% off). These are:

Consumers can preview their mail before it arrives. Through informed delivery marketers can add a multichannel component by reaching their target audience via email.

  • Available January 1 – December 31, 2025
  • First Class and Marketing Mail
  • Can be stacked with the second add on promotion Sustainability

Sustainability – 1% discount

  • Available January 1 – December 31, 2025
  • First Class and Marketing Mail
  • Must demonstrate the paper used in the mailing came from a certifiable, responsible source, or the paper is a true recycled stock. Certification required to be present on outer OE or an inner component. Approved Organizations and Certifications for Sustainability are Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
