Founder & CEO

Len Schenker

Len Schenker is CEO and founder of ANCHOR Computer, Inc., a leading direct marketing computer service bureau specializing in appending marketing data including consumer and business demographics, phone number and emails, and all facets of database marketing. ANCHOR also, through its software company, provides solutions to industry marketers. ANCHOR clients span from small marketers to leading Fortune 100 companies.

ANCHOR also maintains and distributes the industry’s DO NOT CALL, and DO NOT MAIL LIST for the Direct Marketing Association for 17 years, up to the year 2000.  We also serve on the ANA privacy committee.

Prior to his founding ANCHOR in 1974, he held positions as a chemical engineer and management consultant. He is a graduate of the City College of New York with a Bachelor’s and a Master of Science degree and held a Professional Engineers License.

He speaks frequently on the applications of advanced technology to direct marketing and has authored numerous articles. Mr. Schenker maintained an on-going involvement in all phases of direct marketing, with special emphasis on database technology and e-commerce. Mr. Schenker is a past president and cofounder of the Direct Marketing Computer Association. He and the company are active members of many trade associations including the Association of National Advertisers and the New England Mail Association.


Mark Schenker

Mark Schenker is the President of ANCHOR computer and is an accomplished industry professional with extensive experience in the field. Since 1988, he has been  involved in several notable industry associations. He served on the board of the Direct Marketing Club of New York, showcasing his commitment to networking and professional development. Additionally, Mark was an active board member of the Direct Marketing Association Retail Council and Computer Council, helping in the shaping of industry policies and strategies related to retail and technology.

In his spare time, Mark has various hobbies. He enjoys art, traveling, fishing and physical fitness. He has a unique interest in collecting rare vintage toys from the 1960s, reflecting his appreciation for nostalgia and cultural artifacts from that era.

Mark resides on Long Island with his family and dogs. He is a graduate of C.W. Post University.

Chief Operating Officer

Jim Spillane

Jim is the COO of ANCHOR computer and has a strong background in marketing. Prior to joining ANCHOR in 1997, he spent 10 years working with well-known publishing brands. During his tenure as Vice President, Direct Marketing with Warren, Gorham & Lamont (WGL).  Jim was responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct marketing. He also played a key role in creating a marketing database that covered multiple divisions within the organization.

Additionally, Jim held the position of Vice President of Marketing at both Bureau of Business Practice, a division of Simon & Schuster and Clark Boardman Callaghan. In these roles, he made significant contributions to incorporating database marketing as an integral part of the marketing strategies for these companies.

With a steady hand, throughout Jim’s tenure with ANCHOR, he has taken on increasing responsibilities within the company. This has led to success and trust placed in him by ANCHOR leadership.


Kathleen Poulos

Kathleen Poulos serves as Controller of Anchor. In this role, Kathleen has overall responsibility for the finance, administration, and human resource functions of the company. Prior to joining Anchor, she held various senior financial management positions with the Robocom Corporation including Vice President, Finance, Corporate Controller, and Assistant Controller. In these roles, Kathleen had overall responsibility for financial reporting, internal controls, administration, and human resource functions. Additionally, she oversaw Robocom’s related entities, Select Business Solutions, LLC and Revere, Inc. Kathleen facilitated the sale of Robocom from a publicly traded entity to a private company and worked with leadership in the acquisition and integration of several other software companies. Kathleen is a graduate of NYIT and SUNY Farmingdale holding degrees in Accounting and Business administration.

Steve stolls

Senior Vice President, Sales

Steve is a Senior Direct Marketing/Database/List executive with over 40 years of experience in Sales, Sales Management and Data Sourcing. He is committed to helping clients find solutions that will reduce costs and increase response and profitability. His client’s range across numerous industries, consisting of, yet not limited to, Financial Services, Military, Consumer Package Goods, Identity Verification, and Education. He Possesses strong knowledge of traditional direct mail, email, digital marketing and is a seasoned networker.

Steve most recently served as Executive Vice President of ASL marketing (a division of Deep Sync) where he led all Sales and Data Sourcing functions for the company.

In his spare time, Steve is an active racquet sports enthusiast while also enjoying golf, biking, fine wine, and time with his family. He resides on Long Island and is a graduate of Hofstra University.

Senior Management Team – Each of the departments is staffed by professionals with many years of experience in traditional direct marketing support, marketing systems, database technology, and data processing. The combined direct marketing service bureau experience of our management staff is over 200 years.

Account Management & Production Team – The account management team consists of a sales executive and an account manager with their supporting personnel. The sales executive will serve as the client’s first line of contact, and provide information on services, explore solutions and set pricing. The account manager will ensure the order process is seamless, assisting in the process from start to finish. They are also available to review the completed work with the client if required. Each account manager has their own dedicated production team, to provide client familiarity as well as a back up to the account manager.

Technical Experts – Our technical team is a group of experienced data management professionals with expertise and knowledge in all aspects of the industry. The entire group is proficient in strategic consulting, database services, content solutions, analytical services, interactive and creative services and production management services.
